 My village is Kanthale. It is located in the Trincomalee district of the eastern province. Kanthale divisional secretariat is an beautiful place which just over 45 km from trincomalee district kanthale’s greatest attraction are mahaweli river, kanthale tank & the jungle that surround the area. 
Kanthale has many explanations & the most popular translate was ‘ganthalawa’ kanthale tank is almost beautiful & famous place. It was built in 6th century by King 2nd Agbo This is the life of farmers who lives in kanthale irrigation aria as most of the people are doing paddy cultivation for their main income generation activity. In the mean  time the suger factory in kantale was a famous place in the world. Large number of people was enrolled with this factory & it also earned a name as the largest sugar factory in south asia. kanthale is home for rich mixer of people they are Sinhalese, the muslims, the tamils a number of other small groups of people they have a good understand each others. kanthale is an ancient place as there many historical places such as ruins at kanthale welunna temple, wan ela temple,sooriapura & peramaduwa. People from everyware were interested to visit these places. Kanthale is situated with full of natural resource places wich are the railway station, huge bus stand, depot, ect. All these factors make kanthale as high quality administration place.
